Matilda Ledger was born on October 28, 2005, in New York City. She is the daughter of the late Australian actor Heath Ledger and the American actress, Michelle Williams. She was born and raised in New York City while living for a six-year period of time in upstate New York immediately following her father's tragic passing. She now lives in the Brooklyn borough of New York City with her mother. Michelle Williams has another daughter, Agathe, who was born during Williams' brief marriage to Phil Elverum.

She purchased the home in Prospect Park for $2.5M and proceeded to complete an extensive rehab of the home for an undisclosed amount of money. The completed project has even been featured in such prestigious magazines as Architectural Digest. The Colonial Revival is on Albermarle Street on a corner lot. It was designed and built in 1905 with heavy involvement by the esteemed designers Charles Pratt and Robert Bryson. The home contains 18 rooms and eight bedrooms, and many porches on both the first and second floors. The home is considered a historic landmark and all of Williams' plans for the house had to be reviewed and approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. It has also been reported that Williams will install an in-ground swimming pool at the renovated home which will be just perfect for Matilda and her younger half-sister!

In addition to the design flourishes that Williams will surely add, the plans also call from some less-glamorous improvements. Due to its age, the home does not have a modern heating and cooling system so Williams will install a fully-modern HVAC system. A privacy fence will be erected in the back of the house to shield the family from curious onlookers as well as the paparazzi. The renovation project has been a subject of a lot of interest and enthusiasm, as Michelle is returning this stately manor to its former glory! In fact, many realtors in the area describe the home as "The Gone With the Wind House" and the "Tara Home." One thing is for sure, Matilda is growing up in the lap of luxury and comfort that is befitting for a child of such famous and successful parents!

Current Projects

As a young teenager who has not opted to follow in her famous parents' footsteps, Matilda is currently working on her education and school work. She is known to be bright and a good student. It will be surprising if Matilda suddenly takes on a more public role. Her mother, even though she is a world-famous actress, is known for her love of privacy.
